yorCMO experienced a 22,000% growth in organic traffic after hiring me to work on their website.
The team that runs yorCMO, a provider of fractional CMO services, knew they needed help with their website. For years, it had been stagnant but no SEO company they had so far hired was able to drive the results they were looking for.
It was at that point that I got the call requesting my help.
After a bit of back and forth, I was hired to do an audit of the website. I uncovered some issues that were holding the site back, as well as some opportunities that we could capitalize on to drive powerful results.
I suggested that we fix common technical and performance errors to improve SEO performance, and then roll out a campaign to optimize existing content in parallel with producing new content at the same time.
I pitched and built this campaign as a long-term, evergreen source of SEO traffic. I had identified that the site was underperforming, so I figured that it just needed a bit of work and time to start ranking.
The idea was to run a one-time campaign that lasted roughly 4 months and then give it time to rank and see what happened. Between March and July of 2022, we executed the campaign and then let it sit.
As it turned out, my intuition was correct. In the following years, the site reached record traffic levels - ones that far surpassed anything the site had previously experienced.
While the site has seen a bit of ranking volatility over time, my work has consistently proven itself to be incredibly valuable to the company and has driven a huge amount of leads, online visibility, and brand recognition.
Keeping in mind that we've only run one strategic SEO campaign - the one I built in 2022 - the site is primed for growth if they were to ever run another one in the future.
This is one of my favorite case studies because it proves how a small investment in a strategic evergreen SEO campaign can continually drive results even years after the campaign has been run.
